Click here to see a gallery of seedlings. (mostly 1st or 2nd year blooms, some possible intros)
Seedling Shorthand: Everbody body seems to do it differently. Here's mine
If there is a number first (99, 03, 07....) it's the year in which the cross was made. It takes 2-3 years for that year's seeedlings to bloom, so images starting with 07 or 08 may be the first year's bloom.
D or T indicate Dip or Tet
Parent shorthand is usually the first letters of the cultivar (ex. Mad Max - MM)
A capital "X" indicates the cross for that seedling, since unregistered seedlings are often used (ex. (MMRH2)X(MMKL)....technically this should read (MMxRH2)X(MMxKL), but I often leave out the all the x's since the parenthesis suffice for me. Further on this cross, the Pod Parent (always the first in the sequence) is now the registered cultivar "Miss Underestimated". Written in longhand then. this cross is Miss Underestimated X (Mad Max x Kindly Light)
Sibbed Seedling. A cross made with 2 seedlings from the same cross (ex. (MMML 2)X(MMML 5) The numbers identify each seedling used. Basically it's inbreeding to look for possible freakiness ....always desireable for me.
Unk stands for Unknown (a favorite parent of pretty much everyone<LOL>(not really) Keeping track of parentage is really the only way to learn what desirable (or not) traits a certain cultivar may have.
